Job Title: Class D Driving Instructor
Reports to: Asst. Superintendent
Job Objective: Provide Drivers Education training to students
Contract: As needed
Pay: $25/hr
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass require physical examination
- Valid driver's license for a minimum of 5 years
- Less than 6 points on your driving record
- Fully complete the required training to obtain a license through the Driving Training Program through the State of Ohio. Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to defensive driving practices
- Strong communication skills
- Satisfactory pre-employment and ongoing random drug/alcohol test results.
- Available to work a non-traditional schedule and irregular hours when needed.
- Basic computer proficiency or commitment to promptly acquire job-related technology skills.
- Embraces high-performance standards (e.g., engagement, proficiency, resilience, etc.)
- Maintains a record free of criminal violations that prohibit public school employment.
Essential Functions
- Provide educational services to teens and adults as set forth by the Driver Training Program through the State of Ohio.
- Follow the provided set curriculum to present lessons, required by the State of Ohio, and be able to tailor to students' needs to learn and maintain information based on their learning abilities.
- Assumes responsibility for controlling student conduct.
- Evaluating students’ progress and providing detailed reports on student Driver Training Log and report to parents if available.
- Completing all required paperwork and documentation promptly.
- Complies with all motor vehicle laws. Reports traffic citations, accidents, property damage, or issues with staff, students, or others in the community to supervisor.
- Fuels vehicle and reports maintenance issues to supervisor. Maintains vehicle cleanliness.
- Completes all required training and maintains certification.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and safety standards.
- Work cooperatively with other instructors, office staff, and managers to ensure that all students receive the best possible instruction and service.
- Prepares paperwork as directed.
