WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
What You'll Be Doing
- Training and supervising Environmental Health Specialists.
- Quickly addressing and responding to internal and external concerns/complaints.
- Developing and revising sound policies and procedures.
- Collaborating on projects with upper management.
- Managing and monitoring Environmental Health Specialists' daily agendas.
- Conducting routine field inspections/investigations when warranted
The Program Manager II position requires offsite work as well as some evening and weekend work. Candidates will be required to travel to different locations within the County.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Licenses:
- Maryland License Environmental Health Specialist
- Possession and maintenance at all times of a valid Class “C” (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant's state of residence
- Do you have 5 years of experience as a Licensed Environmental Health Specialist?
- Do you have a Bachelor’s Degree?
- Do you have Supervisory Experience?

- Supervisory Experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to objectively evaluate and resolve complex situations.
- Ability to effectively de-escalate confrontational situations.
- Ability to work other than normal business hours.
