What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-term Substitute Behavior Analyst - Student Services position at Montgomery County Intermediate Unit 23?
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
- Ability to work as a member of a team. Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people, cooperative, congenial, and self-oriented.
- Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions, ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, ability to read, write, and do simple computation.
- Ability to operate office equipment, use computer technology efficiently, be a proficient typist, and know how to format business correspondence/reports.
- Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI.
- Provide consultation to teachers and to program supervisors in observing students presenting management problems and in taking baseline data on their behavior.
- Provide consultation to teachers and the program supervisor in selecting and developing appropriate data collection techniques.
- Develop written descriptions of behavior programs for specific students.
- Provide consultation to teachers and the program supervisor in developing behavior management programs for both specific students and the classroom milieu.
- Assist teachers in making IEP revisions when they are necessary in order to implement a behavior modification program.
- Attend IEP meetings with parents along with the teachers and the program supervisor to discuss behavior modification programs.
- Instruct staff members in the use of passive restraint techniques and assist teachers in applying these techniques when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Administrator(s).

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and provides services to students in School Age K-12 classrooms located throughout Montgomery County, PA. Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 10 months (194 days/year)
2024-2025 Salary:
Bachelor’s, Step 1: $52,572/year
Master’s, Step 1: $63,582/year
*Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master’s Degree.
