A vacancy exists for a Case Manager to work within the Office of Early Childhood Services at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. The Case Manager is the representative for Early Intervention (ages 3-5 years old) students with two or more related services per student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP), and coordinates meetings with parents, related services providers, and school teams in accordance with IEP timelines.

Our Early Intervention Program is split on school district lines into four (4) regions within Montgomery County. Position location will be determined during the interview process. Qualifications
- Valid PA certification in Special Education PK-12/Special Education PK-8 required
- Valid PA certification in Early Childhood PK-4 (N-3) preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in Special Education preferred
- Excellent communication skills, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, organization skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to use technology to work effectively
- Ability to work as a member of a team, be courteous and able to deal effectively with people, able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions
- Must be able to cope with needs and behavior patterns of children, able to withstand emotional stress, must have a warm, friendly, helpful personality
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions, ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, ability to read, write, and do simple computation
- Ability to work independently and make work-related decisions and exercise good judgement with student interaction
- Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI
- Local Education Agency (LEA) representative for IEP meetings for all students on caseload
- Assure that all Evaluation procedures are completed per Special Education Regulations and timelines.
- Assure all information and content in student's IEP accurately reflects student's annual plan
- Communicate effectively with parents, preschool staff and related service providers
- Collaborate with Comprehensive and Related Service Provider agency personnel
- Assist in the transition of students from the MCIU Early Intervention Program to school age programs
- Other duties as assigned by Director or Program Administrator
