A vacancy exists for a Development Coordinator to work within the Office of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. The Development Coordinator is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic partnerships, revenue generation initiatives, and corporate engagement efforts to advance MCIU’s mission. This role is also responsible for cultivating relationships with businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies, as well as driving sponsorships, funding opportunities, and facility marketing strategies. Additionally, the position will oversee alumni engagement, vendor relationship management, and market research to identify new opportunities for growth.

Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications (Bachelors degree requirement may be waived with significant experience in specialized area of position)
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in:
- Business development
- Partnership marketing
- Corporate relationship management
- Proven success in securing corporate partnerships
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Experience in B2B partnership marketing
- Exceptional presentation and negotiation capabilities
- Proficiency with CRM systems and market research platforms, Microsoft Office/Google Suite, etc.
- Experience in educational/public sector partnership development preferred
- Knowledge of CSR trends and corporate philanthropy preferred
- Background in alumni relations or membership programs preferred
- Familiarity with educational services and corporate training markets preferred
- Ability to work independently and make work-related decisions and exercise good judgement in prioritizing tasks
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI
- Identify, pursue and cultivate long-term strategic partnerships with businesses, nonprofit organizations and government agencies that align with MCIU’s mission.
- Develop and implement comprehensive partnership strategies, including tiered models with clear value propositions and targeted outreach approaches.
- Position MCIU as a critical partner for corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.
- Secure corporate sponsorships, funding partnerships, and in-kind contributions while tracking and reporting on partnership ROI and economic impact metrics.
- Develop targeted marketing strategies for MCIU’s facilities, including the Conference Center and Broadcast Studio, by creating sector-specific value propositions and building relationships with corporate event planners and professional associations.
- Establish strategic venue partnerships with complimentary venues and service providers to increase facility utilization and develop compelling business cases for facility usage.
- Conduct ongoing market research to analyze regional economic trends, benchmark against comparable organizations, and identify emerging partnership and revenue opportunities.
- Research potential corporate partners and develop customized partnership approaches based on data-driven insights.
- Strengthen Leadership Montco’s alumni networks by developing engagement strategies, exclusive networking opportunities, continued learning experiences, and ambassador programs.
- Enhance Leadership Montco’s role as a premier business network through mentorship initiatives, corporate sponsorships, and alumni engagement tracking.
- Develop and maintain targeted marketing materials, partnership case studies, impact reports, and a strong digital presence to enhance engagement and recognition.
- Represent MCIU at business networking events, chambers of commerce, and industry forums to expand visibility and strengthen relationships.
- Transform vendor relationships into strategic partnerships by fostering vendor philanthropy, creating internship and sponsorship opportunities, and organizing vendor appreciation events.
