What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Oncology position at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital?
Great opportunity to work with a caring and positive team while helping patients through their healthcare journey. Looking for an oncology certified RN for part time 24 hours a week position in the Center for Oncology & Hematology Clinics and Outpatient Infusion Suite. Has at minimum two years experience in acute patient care. Office nursing experience is also helpful. Will be expected to perform rotational weekend phone triage and PRN weekend infusion services after orientation. Certified in BLS and will be ACLS certified within 6 months of hire. ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration Certificate course will be provided and completed within 6 months of hire if not already completed. Hazardous Drug handling is expected. The applicant will have highly detailed assessment skills, the ability to communicate with members of a multidisciplinary team, proficient documentation skills in an electronic health record, confident IV skills, ability to case manage complex patient problems, excellent communication skills with patient, caregivers and other allied health providers. Must be licensed in the state of Iowa or hold a Multi-State License as a Registered Nurse.
