The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for school nurse positions that may become available within our division for the 2025-2026 school year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The School Nurse will assist the Lead Nurse in the organization, administration, and implementation of school health services and will function as a contributing member of the school health team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse or a licensed professional nurse in Virginia
- One year of nursing experience
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid
- Have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with parents and families
- Demonstrate the ability to work and collaborate with other team members
- Ability to be dependable and punctual
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous experience in public health or general nursing, preferably in school nursing or community health nursing with children
Salary: LPN - $39,587.40 - $71,313.60 annual
RN - $41,566.65 - $74,880.30 annual
(salary may change due to 2025-206 budget considerations)
FLSA: Exempt
