Supervises, organizes, and leads staff and facility operations to ensure all aspects of facility operations are functioning properly and efficiently. Physical Demands: None. Special Requirements: Ability to respond to emergency situations at any time and to work unusual hours or overtime as required.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Thorough knowledge of the Board of Education, local, state, and federal laws, rules, policies, regulations and procedures dealing with building operations. Thorough knowledge of school plant and building service practices, procedures and methods. Ability to plan, administer, and maintain effective and efficient school plant and building service programs for MCPS. Excellent organizational ability. Excellent oral and written communications and human relations skills.
Education, Training, And Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university on school administration, facilities management, business administration, or a related field required. Minimum of five years of increasingly responsible leadership experience related to plant operations functions in a large private or government organization preferred. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered. Certificate License: None.
