Chemistry Teacher

Blacksburg High School

The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for a high school chemistry teaching position that is available at Blacksburg High School for the 2025-2026 school year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with an appropriate endorsement to teach Chemistry at the high school level
• Have experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
• Have experience and expertise in using technology in education
• Have experience in fostering an inclusive learning environment
• Have experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration, and coursework

FLSA: Exempt

SALARY: $50,072.26 - $83,120.04 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience (current salary scale may change due to 2025-2026 budget considerations)
