What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aide - Connections, Summer - Price's Fork Elementary position at Montgomery County School District [VA]?
The Connections Aide assists the PFES Connections program director by working with elementary aged students on educational and enrichment activities during our summer program, Monday-Friday. The position allows the aide to work up to 29 hours per week.
Our summer program is open from May 27- August 8th.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical strength
- Ability to cooperate with other staff members
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Dependability and punctuality required
- Ability to respond to emergencies in support of students and school operations
- Have the physical ability to repeatedly lift heavy objects (20 lbs.) as needed
- Ability to support school functions and community activities as deemed necessary
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Possess the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to be dependable and punctual
- CPR certification
