Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dental assistant that would like to transition to Treatment Coordinator role as needed.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing patient experiences by coordinating treatment plans, ensuring effective communication between patients and dental professionals, and maintaining a smooth workflow within the clinic. A strong understanding of dental terminology, medical coding, and infection control practices is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Assisting chairside
- Scanning, packing cords, temporary fabrication
- Coordinate patient treatment plans by collaborating with dentists and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients about their treatment options, procedures, and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of treatment plans and medical history.
- Utilize open dental software for scheduling appointments, managing billing, and maintaining patient information.
- Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Conduct preliminary assessments including taking X-rays as needed.
- Maintain an organized workflow within the clinic to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and relevant medical coding practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is an advantage.
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards is essential.
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental management software is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
