- Answering, screening and forwarding incoming calls
- Checking patients in and out
- Maintaining patient information records
- Communicating with the medical staff
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a medical office
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience managing electronic health records
- Experience scheduling appointments and referrals
- Knowledge of insurance plans and coding
- Experience using office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and fax machines
