Position Summary
The Clinical Nurse Educator supports our clinicians through education, clinical mentoring, coaching and Quality-driven activities. In conjunction with the Hospice leadership team, the Clinical Educator will help to design, implement, and provide training to Hospice team members. Serves as a role model in advancing clinical practice to achieve better patient outcomes. Is responsible for the orientation and precepting of new field clinicians.
Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for the orientation and precepting of new nurses.
Serves as a clinical education mentor for all clinicians. Advocates for advancing clinical practice to achieve better patient outcomes.
As a member of the Staff Development Team, participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the education process of Montgomery Hospice, Inc.
Meets requirements for educational growth and development.
Maintains high standards as established for all employees of Montgomery Hospice.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a current state of Maryland RN license.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
Master of Science in Nursing Education preferred.
CHPN is required within one year of position acceptance.
Five or more years of healthcare experience.
Advanced knowledge of clinical expertise in hospice and palliative care.
Healthcare education experience in a hospital, hospice, or home health setting preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of state, federal, and regulatory standards, including standards set forth by accrediting body as applied to hospice organizations.

Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
