- Develops and implements business development strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives and growth targets.
- Oversees sales practices to develop strategies that drive revenue and increase market share.
- Oversees and directs all daily patient referral and intake operations.
- Builds and monitors community and customer perceptions of Montgomery Hospice, Inc. as a high-quality provider of services
- Works as a close partner with the Chief Advancement Officer on PR activities, publications, advertising, media relations, website and social media to ensure they align with the strategic objectives of the organization and assists the fundraising department as needed.
- Participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.
- Ensures that the customer perspective is a driving force behind leadership decisions and activities; identifying breakdowns in service and identifying solutions to create customer focused systems, processes and procedures.
- Maintains high standards as established for all employees of Montgomery Hospice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or similar field from an accredited college or university required. MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible management and leadership in health care required.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with team members at all levels of the organization and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
- Demonstrated knowledge in budget development, financial profit / loss process, and human resources.
- Expert in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
- Strong business acumen, attention to detail, ability to influence professionals of senior management level, good sense of confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to plan and apply change management and organizational development strategies.
- Influences and assists organizational change initiatives in support of business strategies.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the mission, vision, and philosophy of hospice.
Position Summary :
The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for driving organizational growth through marketing, patient intake processes, and community education and outreach. This role combines leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship-building and oversees the Admissions, Intake, and Liaison teams.
