Job Description:
- Develop and implement physical therapy programs under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to ensure residents achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care.
- Enter accurate and timely billing information to facilitate reimbursement and optimize revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical therapy programs for assigned residents, focusing on restoring functional abilities and promoting independence.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans and ensure seamless care transitions.
- Provide residents with equipment and supplies as needed, promoting comfort and safety.
- Document resident progress and therapy provided, maintaining accurate and informative records.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant; license in good standing.
- Previous experience in skilled nursing facilities highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate with staff members.
