Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical research and assessments to evaluate the needs of clients
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources and services
- Assist clients in navigating the healthcare system and accessing appropriate support services
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies or critical situations
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment strategies
- Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in social work
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a Social Worker (if required by state regulations)
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with therapy techniques, including individual, group, and family therapy
- Understanding of special education systems and resources for children with disabilities
- Proficiency in clinical counseling and assessment tools
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural competence
