What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Counselor position at Montgomery State Prison?
Job Summary
Under supervision, schedules consumers for testing, assembles test materials and administer tests. Develops and implements behavior management and/ or skills acquisition plans.
Duties
- Assists with administration and scoring of tests
- Develop and implement behavior management plans as required by regulatory agencies
- Evaluate clients physical or mental condition base on review of client information
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports
- Provides training to direct staff in implementing behavior modification techniques
- Trains to collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests
Entry Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR certification as an addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) or equivalent certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to Entry Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications may be added by the agency.

Pay: $33,042.45 - $52,364.30 per year
