POSITION SUMMARY
The CSR intern position will work in various capacities in operations and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze our most profitable two-day lanes (700 mile length of haul).
• Schedule delivery appointments for freight out of the assigned states.
• Complete online load closings for top-5 customer accounts.
• Review prior year(s) lane data to determine accounts in need of rejuvenation.
• Book and schedule freight from difficult areas in advance.
• Communicate with drivers, customer service reps, and fleet managers to determine which lanes are the most difficult to cover and why.
• Communicate with drivers, customer service reps, and fleet managers to determine which shippers present the biggest driver concerns and why (loading times, safety hazards, etc).
• Communicate with drivers, customer service reps, and fleet managers to determine improvements to our overall on-time delivery percentage.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• In process of completing a Bachelor’s degree (4 year).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail oriented, with ability to multi-task, in a fast-paced work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office product suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
