POSITION SUMMARY
The operations intern will work in various capacities in operations and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
▪Become involved and participate in daily operational tasks including asset utilization; safety management; Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance; payroll; logistics management/analysis.
▪Providing customer service and support to drivers, carriers, and customers on the phone and email, as needed.
▪Gain understanding and utilize transportation information software.
▪Monitoring driver safety and legal compliance, including hours of service
▪Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
▪In process of completing a bachelor’s degree
▪Strong organizational and time management skills.
▪Detail oriented, with ability to multi-task, in a fast-paced work environment.
▪Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
▪Proficient using Microsoft Office product suite.
▪Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
