As a Land Guide, you'll be responsible for assisting and guiding guests through our land-based activities, including zip-lines, ropes courses, mountain biking, and environmental education. You'll deliver a high-quality, safe, and engaging experience for all visitors. No prior experience is necessary! We provide comprehensive paid training to all new Land Guides.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the resident expert on our facility and offerings.
- Interact with guests positively and professionally at all times.
- Provide clear instructions on equipment and safety briefings.
- Answer questions and troubleshoot guest needs.
- Effectively communicate and enforce regulations and policies.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Perform daily safety inspections of activities and equipment.
- Identify and report safety issues to management.
- Engage the chain-of-command for assistance as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use sound judgment with safety as a top priority.
- Ability to take direction and work independently.
- Disposition for continued learning and improvement.
- Participation in scheduled training and skills development.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during special events.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with physical, visual, and auditory capabilities.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather and environmental conditions for sustained periods.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stand, lean, and kneel regularly and for sustained periods.
- Ability to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in shared spaces with employees and customers.
- On-site work is required.
