Job Overview:
Montini Catholic High School seeks a Technology Teacher/ Assistant Director of Technology. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or master’s degree, is certified at the high school level, has teaching experience, and a thorough knowledge of subject matter. Likely courses include but are not limited to:
· Introduction to Computer Science
· Advanced Placement Computer Science
· Digital Making
· Robotics
· Advanced Robotics
Additionally, the Technology Teacher/Assistant Director of Technology will provide support to the Director of Technology in the following areas:
· Daily maintenance and problem solving of all hardware and software equipment in all school buildings.
· Maintenance and backup of servers.
· Initialization and maintenance of administrative software.
· Implementation of existing school technology plan and planning for future needs.
· Provides technical support to teachers and staff
· Maintains an inventory of iPads and A. V. equipment.
· Coordinates maintenance and repair of iPads and A. V. equipment.
· Orders new machines and suggests additions to school inventory.
· Coordinates the sign-out of machines.
An ideal candidate must be able to prepare and deliver daily lesson plans that are engaging for students while utilizing a variety of instructional techniques consistent with the established curriculum. The candidate should be energetic, dedicated to the school community, and able to creatively engage today's learners. Experience working in a one-to-one environment is also preferred. This educator would join a learning community with others who thrive in a mission driven educational environment, foster an inclusive learning community, are highly engaging educators, are passionate about teaching young people, are able to teach all ability levels, and are dedicated to the success of the overall school community.
