Montpelier Roxbury Public Schools is in search of a dynamic building leader who is eager to take an already great school to the next level. Union Elementary School sits in the middle of the progressive town of Montpelier, Vermont, the states capital, and serves students from Montpelier and Roxbury, Vermont. While offering a wide variety of cultural experiences that range from music to theater to lecture series in Montpelier itself, we are also a 40 minute drive to Burlington and right down the road from multiple world-class ski areas. Local lakes, hiking trails, nature centers offer ample opportunity for year-round outdoor activity that Vermont is known for around the globe.

Union Elementary School is searching for a principal for its outstanding 400 current students and 90 staff members beginning July 1, 2025. We are a school that values cultural inclusivity, high levels of learning for all students, distributive leadership, and student engagement.Vermont is an incredibly progressive state in the world of education and Montpelier Roxbury Public Schools lead the effort in many areas. MRPS is continually growing its system of proficiency-based learning, social emotional learning, and effective multi-tiered system of supports so that all learners reach high levels of achievement.
Our next principal will have the opportunity to lead a veteran staff and work within a collaborative leadership team in reaching our lofty goals for students.
