At Spirit, we specialize in addressing our clients' major concerns related to regulatory air permitting and compliance, air dispersion modeling, auditing and enforcement, reporting, and expert support. Our team consists of highly trained and experienced engineers and scientists, working with public and private sector clients, providing comprehensive solutions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for candidates with experience in air quality permitting and compliance work with a preference for experience in the chemicals, refining, and oil and gas industries. This role will be working on technical and complex projects with oversight from senior technical experts within Spirit. A DAY IN THE LIFE

Our Air Quality Project Consultant position is located in Houston, TX, and is a Hybrid role. Our team works a flexible in-office / remote schedule of two fixed days in the office per week, with the remaining days worked remotely each week.

As a key member of the Spirit team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities, including :

  • Complete air quality consulting tasks to support project needs accurately and on time.
  • Increase your knowledge of air quality consulting and project management.
  • Quality control of personal work.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate information with internal and external clients.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with team members and clients.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

We are looking for new team members who have demonstrated technical acumen, exceptional problem-solving abilities, clear and effective communication skills, and the ability to create strong interpersonal relationships. To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

Skills :

  • Effective time management and problem-solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fundamental math and science competencies (e.g., unit conversions, use of formulas, data evaluation, basic chemistry).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Platform (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Visio).
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or above in science or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of air quality permitting and compliance experience.
  • Basic understanding of state and federal air quality regulations is required.
  • A high level of professional ethics
  • Social skills and professionalism are necessary to establish and maintain long-term working relationships with clients and co-workers.
