Job Details
Performs various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Applies techniques used in the field of blood banking, hematology, serology, chemistry and morphological examinations.
Records test results, quality control, remedial action and may also engage in research.
Job Requirements
Master's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological science; OR Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological science.
Must have at least 3 months of training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing.
Applicants without current certification must take and pass the ASCP, NCA (MT / MLS) or equivalent exam within 6 months of hire.
