An independent school for girls in grades 6-12, guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church, Montrose School was founded in 1979 and is located in the welcoming community of Medfield, 17 miles southwest of Boston. Montrose seeks a half-time experienced Drama Director to join our professional learning community beginning August 2025. The successful candidate will be passionate about fostering creativity and excellence in young artists while sustaining the program’s tradition of delivering four exceptional productions annually in coordination with the Performing Arts Producer. The strong candidate must have past experience with and strong knowledge of theater and theater productions, a commitment to working with middle and high school students and a drive to support a strong student culture of solidarity in all environments aligned with the Montrose mission. A compelling applicant will be a collaborative communicator with good judgement and effective problem solving skills ready to oversee all practical and creative aspects of a theatrical production. Strong applicants will have an advanced degree and at least three years of experience. Montrose develops young women leaders through its unique program of character education.
