Montrose School seeks to appoint an experienced and innovative middle and upper school science teacher, for our collegial and robust Science Department. The successful candidate will be an accomplished teacher of science bringing passion and enthusiasm not only for the subject matter but for coaching adolescent girls to acquire and achieve a high level of proficiency in logical scientific inquiry and investigation while fostering a growth mindset. We seek teachers who are passionate about their subjects and dedicated to guide students in strong academic habits and are committed to collaborating, reflecting and growing in their teaching practice. Compelling applicants will have significant coursework in a relevant subject (a master’s degree is preferred, but not required), an interest in curriculum development, a demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for connecting girls with opportunities for exploration of science-related professional study, an appreciation for an all-girls’ education, and teaching experience of three years or more is preferred.
