Monument Impact’s mission is to advance economic and racial equity in Contra Costa County by integrating advocacy with critical learning opportunities to ensure immigrants, refugees, and low-income community members have the power, skills, and relationships to secure living-wage jobs, stable housing, and good health.
The Employment Placement Coordinator position is a link to employment opportunities for Advanced Technology for Success graduates. The Employment Placement Coordinator will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with employers and contributing substantially to employment outcomes for our asset-building program. This position serves as an ambassador, both externally with employers and within Monument Impact, as a champion for effective employer partnerships.
The successful candidate must have the ability to build strong relationships, a data-centered focus (we are highly data-driven and data-informed), strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Occasional evening work is required. Local residents are strongly encouraged to apply. This position reports to the Asset-Building Manager.

Job Summary
Monument Impact (MI) is seeking an energetic, bilingual (Spanish/English) candidate to fill a full-time Employment Placement Coordinator position as part of a dynamic immigrant justice organization in Concord, CA. A successful candidate will be passionate about our mission and have the drive to position the organization as a thought leader in our field.
Responsibilities include:
Employment Placement
- Engage with MI’s Advanced Technology for Success students to establish trusting collaborative relationships. - Support in Professional Development delivery, including resume development, cover letters, and job applications.
- Support students with job-seeking strategies & Interview techniques, including mock interviews - Effectively market and represent MI programs and clients in building relationships with prospective employers.
- Arrange meetings with potential employers to market employment services.
- Track employment successes.
- Conduct 6 and 12-month follow-ups to clients placed in jobs
Promote ongoing support & networking opportunities
- Work closely with Asset Building Manager in organizing annual alumnae events
- Organize and promote job fairs
- Connect clients to other MI programs and partner agencies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years work experience in a related field and/or nonprofit such as Sales/Marketing, Public Relations, Staffing Services, Job Development.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) with excellent communication skills, written and verbal including public speaking. 3. Commitment to racial equity and Monument Impact’s mission and values.
- Outgoing personality and strong networking skills.
- Solution-oriented with strong ability to meet and track program outcomes.
- Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, and the ability to utilize database systems for reporting and analysis. Salesforce experience is a plus.

- Familiarity with Contra Costa businesses and economic climate
- Experience working with disadvantaged populations
Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, with vacation, sick time, and holidays. Starting pay range is $22- $25.00. All employment at Monument Impact is ‘at-will’.
