What are the responsibilities and job description for the Division Order Analyst position at Monument Resources LLC?
We, Monument Resources, LLC, a leader in land services in East Texas and surrounding areas, are seeking a Division Order Analyst to join our team. Under limited supervision, the Division Order Analyst will be responsible for verifying, establishing, and maintaining accurate record title ownership of oil and gas properties. This position requires strong analytical and technical land skills. Must possess the abilities for independent action, decision making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability/drive to learn.
This is an independent contractor position. The daily rate will be determined based on experience and qualifications during the interview process. Our company is based out of Longview, Tx.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Review Division Order Title Opinions for necessary title requirements, cost free royalty owners, NPRI owners, WI owners bearing burdens, non-consenting parties, etc.
- Analyze, create, and maintain record title ownership of producing properties, division of interest utilizing title opinions, leases, deeds, probate proceedings, curative, and heirship data and other legal documents to determine ownership and lease burden relationships for production proceeds from oil and gas wells
- Interpret documents affecting record title ownership of mineral and leasehold rights, including assignments, deeds, probates, and trusts. Determine ownership through laws of descent and distribution/intestate succession when appropriate
- Detailed analysis of leases, farm-out agreements, operating agreements, other legal documents to calculate record title interests
- Assist with acquisition, divestiture, due diligence, internal/external audits, data conversion and other special projects.
- Professionally respond to royalty owner inquiries through phone, written or electronic communication.
- Work with Land staff to clear and cure title
- Process probate information and transfer documents from interest owners in order to maintain a correct division of interest
- Familiar with name and address data set-ups and maintenance
- Respond to inquiries from mineral owners, title attorneys, other third parties, and internal staff regarding property interests
· Research and identify decimals sent by operators to confirm ownership
· Create internal pay decks including a large number of owners
· Assist management with special projects as needed

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two years of related experience in land records, titles, and leases, or previous experience in Division Order work
- Two years of Microsoft Office experience, with emphasis on Excel and Word
- Texas division order experience is preferred
