What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveillance and Operations Specialist position at Monumental Markets?
The Surveillance and Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing video surveillance, preparing case documentation for customers, and managing cash room operations in our micro market business. This role ensures the security, integrity, and efficiency of daily operations, maintaining a safe and trustworthy environment for customers and staff. This position does not require any face-to-face interaction with identified perpetrators.
What You'll Do:
Video Surveillance
- Monitor live and recorded video feeds from micro market locations to ensure compliance with company policies and prevent theft or fraudulent activities.
- Identify and document suspicious activities or incidents, escalating issues to management as needed.
- Utilize reporting to identify opportunities for account review to mitigate loss and increase profitability
- Maintain and troubleshoot surveillance equipment, coordinating with technical teams for repairs or upgrades.
Case Preparation for Customers
- Compile detailed incident reports, including video evidence and written summaries, for customer review.
- Communicate effectively with customer development department to address concerns, provide case updates, and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all cases and customer interactions.
Cash Room Operations
- Oversee daily cash handling procedures, including counting, reconciling, and securing funds from micro market kiosks.
- Prepare cash deposits and ensure readiness for armored-car pick-up service.
- Communicate cash transaction variances to operations team and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and organized cash room environment, adhering to company security protocols.
Your Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in security, surveillance, cash handling, or customer service
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze video footage and reports.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for customer interactions and report preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic familiarity with surveillance software.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
