Commercial Lending Assistant - JOB # 17-25

The Commercial Lending Assistant will provide support to the Commercial Lending team in the following areas: loan servicing, processing, documentation preparation and other functions as needed for the loan application and closing process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate assistance to customers both in person and over the phone, i.e., wire transfers, research, account transfers, and loan signing.
- Assist and support Loan Officers.
- Prepare loan authorizations and packages, including obtaining Credit Reports, New Loan Numbers, Financials, CIP, Good Standing, Corporate Documents, and other related items as needed.
- General Administrative duties-i.e., typing correspondence, including past due letters, commitment letters, waivers, and memos, answer phones, open and distribute mail, greet, and assist customers, and scheduling appointments.
- Coordinate loan documentation including UCC and title searches with various parties including Loan Operations, Quality Control, Title Companies, Attorneys,’ and Credit Department.
- Coordinate loan uploading/funding with Loan Operations and review final processing for correctness.
- Prepare coordinate loan closing, loan advances and loan pay down request.
- Complete Quality Checks of loan packages to ensure all necessary documents are included and complete.
- Review Exception Reports and work to clear on a weekly basis.
- Review past due reports weekly and assist in collection process.
- Assist in resolving non-sufficient funds and overdrafts of loan customers.
- Carry out responsibilities with professionalism and respect for others in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
Job Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum Experience: 1-2 years banking; commercial loan processing experience a plus.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to demonstrate knowledge in banking, bank loan policy and bank products/services. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be a self-starter and have follow-up skills. Exceptional customer service skills are a must. Detail oriented and well organized. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
