The Role / Responsibilities: An IT Asset Management Associate is a vital role focused on the physical and logistical aspects of managing IT assets within an organization. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, efficient in handling physical inventory, and capable of executing tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the IT asset lifecycle, from receiving and storage to distribution and disposal. The Associate will work closely with the IT Asset Management team to maintain accurate inventory records, ensure requirements for legal hold are met, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and Inspecting Deliveries: Carefully receive incoming IT assets and equipment, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and verify against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inventory Management: Accurately record and tag new assets in the inventory system, ensuring all relevant details are captured. Perform regular physical counts to maintain inventory accuracy and reconcile with database records.
- Storage and Organization: Efficiently store IT assets in designated areas, optimizing space and ensuring easy access. Maintain a clean and orderly stockroom.
- Asset Disposal: Assist in the decommissioning and disposal of obsolete, damaged, or unnecessary IT assets following company policies and environmental regulations. This may include data wiping, dismantling, and coordinating with recycling vendors.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all warehouse transactions, asset movements, and inventory changes. Assist in generating reports and providing data for audits or asset tracking analyses.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or logistical challenges in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with vendors, IT staff, and other departments as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement asset management processes through feedback and participation in team meetings.
- Experience working in an inventory management role, preferably dealing with IT equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
- Possess intellectual curiosity / a curiosity for how things work with a design mindset for making improvements
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
