We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with a focus on cloud technologies, particularly AWS. This role requires proficiency in PySpark, Python and SQL, as well as a deep understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$112,000.00 - [[$162,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications:
- Current hands-on coding and expertise in PySpark, Python and SQL.
- 8 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda, and Glue.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems on AWS.
- Implement data integration and ETL processes using PySpark, Python, SQL and Kakfa.
- Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing.
