Title: Associate Software Engineer
Location: 1414 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28203
Duties: Understand technical complexities of applications and effectively document and communicate complexities while identifying process improvements. Facilitate and organize disaster recovery exercises. Create, design, and update technical documentation to standard for audit and regulatory purposes as well as for organizational knowledge repositories. Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root cause testing of all compliance and business metrics. Communicate recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor our strategic approach. Review and research strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics. Utilize independent judgement to direct deliverables. Collaborate and consult with leaders and team members in a clear and concise manner. Maintain a centralized document repository for our platform and cloud engineering teams. Ensure the scalability of the deliverable creation process. Apply understanding of middleware technologies in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and IBM. Work with IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions and related technologies to facilitate communication and data management between different software applications. Design and implement disaster recovery plans for middleware technologies in AWS and IBM Cloud environments. Make necessary code changes using SQL and manage Control-M jobs as per the business requirements. Communicate with business analysts/product owners to gather accurate specifications for new software enhancements/database changes. Translate requirements into functional code. Maintain code quality through unit testing and company established standards and document code appropriately for maintainability.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field plus two (2) years of experience as an Engineer, Developer, Technical Analyst/Consultant/Associate or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: architecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to support enhancements and bug fixes in existing and new applications; applying knowledge of Core Java, Multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment for applications development; working with SQL, Informatica, AWS EC2, Tableau, GitHub, GitActions, BitBucket, Oracle, Confluence, JBoss, IBM Websphere, Middleware, XML, and JSON; and working with open source code and frameworks.

This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
