June 30th - August 7th
Monday - Thursday
8:30 am - 11:30 pm
Subject to change based on student enrollment; start and stop times
Organizational Relationship
or Line of Authority:
Directly responsible to the Summer Coordinator and/or the Executive Director of Student Supposrt Services and/or his/her designee
Statement of Duties:
- Ensure the delivery of direct and/or consultation of behavioral services to our students.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments as needed to identify problem behavior
- Develop appropriate Behavior Intervention Plans to correct problem behaviors and modify as needed.
- Provide ongoing training to classroom staff and monitor the daily implementation of behavior intervention plans in the classrooms.
- Analyze data collected by classroom staff, in order to determine effectiveness and develop evidence based interventions
- Address behavioral difficulties and provide crisis intervention as needed for identified students
- Ensure appropriate contact with parents regarding behavioral issues
- Assist Teachers and Crisis Interventionists in development of and monitor discrete trial programs
- Assist in creating visuals and materials necessary for BIPs
- Conduct observations and provide consultations for additional students and classrooms as referred
- Attend IEP and other meetings as necessary
- May require home visits for observations
Qualifications:
- Experienced in a school setting and able to work in a team environment. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be flexible, able to pay attention to the overall environment and specific details, and must be able to independently identify, implement, and train others on effective behavior interventions.
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Bilingual Preferred
- BCBA Certification/LABA Certification required.
- Previous experience conducting behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
