Meat Slicer

MooHogz Craft BBQ in Greenville, SC is looking for one meat slicer to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and hard-working.

As the meat slicer, you are one of the first team members to connect with our guests. You set the tone and the energy for their experience. After the guest provides their choice of meal, the slicer will slice the meat(s) in front of the guests with a knife. Guests will have the opportunity to select bowls or salads to go along with their meat selection. Having great communication skills and being guest-centric is key in this role. The slicer is a vital part of Moohogz and maintains confidentiality, loyalty and other company standards as directed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Follows company policies and procedures as outlined in the Team Member Handbook and Safety Handbook
• Strives for accuracy and efficiency when cutting meat orders.
• Assists in preparation of menu items and foods needed for the shift assigned
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen areas according to the daily and weekly cleaning schedules
• Responsible for the BBQ cutter stations and kitchen cleaning
• Knows the kitchen and prep areas and follows safety and sanitation policies
• Follows group meal food preparation and packing
• Follows temperatures and quality checks
• Follows sanitation requirements for food handling and storage
• Cooperates with the cashiers to ensure orders are delivered in a timely, efficient and accurate manner
• Cooperates with cashiers when product is returned due to quality, cut or over-cut issues
• Reports to work on time and in the correct uniform
• Performs all duties in a safe manner
• Performs other tasks and duties required to successfully and efficiently

operate the kitchen as directed by the general manager

Qualifications / Skills:

• Serve-Safe Certification is desirable
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Organizational skills
• Patience
• Communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Must be able to stand and walk for a long period of time
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke and cold
• Must have a high level of mobility and flexibility
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, grasp, wipe and scoop
• Must be high-energy and have a strong work ethic!
