Description

The Tree Care Foreman is responsible for creating a plan to accomplish the work assigned and routed to the crew.  Supervisors are available to help, but the Foreman is instrumental in organizing his team and pleasing the customer.  Climbing and trimming trees, operating equipment such as chainsaws and chippers, aerial lift devices and teaching team members are only some of the fun things you will get to participate in. 

 Key Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                       

• Leading a crew and training them on how to do tree care safely and efficiently.
• Driving a truck and trailer to client sites.
• Pruning and removing trees and shrubs.
• Using small tools such as shovels, rakes, chainsaws, and other applicable equipment.
• Completing paperwork and submitting it via our mobile app.
• Time management for entire crew and jobsite.
• Inspecting equipment for safety and practical matters.
• Cleaning, organizing and following tasks as a crew to take care of our clients.
• Willing to learn and grow to become even better.
• Climbing trees for pruning or removals.
• Knowledgeable about trees and tree climbing techniques.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities                                                                                                                                 

• Able to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.
• Applicable knowledge on climbing harnesses, tree gaffs, chippers, chainsaws, and rigging techniques
• Comfortable climbing to heights of up to 80 ft
• Proper felling techniques
• Follow safety guidelines and OSHA standards.
• Follow ANSI Z133 and ANSI A300 standards.
• Knowledgeable tree identification
• Safe and clean driving record
• Understands technology for paperwork submission.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Certified Arborist is a plus.

Education                                                                                                                                                                                               

High School diploma or equivalent.

 Physical requirements/Working conditions                                                                                                                                  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind. 

 OTHER                                                                                                                                                                                                    

This position is full time. Must be able to pass drug screen and MVR screening if driving a company vehicle.
