Job Summary                                                                                                                                                                                  

Moon Valley Nurseries is looking for a Tree Care Groundskeeper who would be responsible for hauling and chipping brush, safely using a chainsaw, cleaning, organizing, and inspecting work areas, and helping other crew members with tasks.  The candidate will receive on-the-job training and will have an opportunity to continually learn new things.  Come work with us at Moon Valley Nursery and we will train and develop you into a great paying career!

Key Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                     

• Hauling and chipping branches.
• Operate and utilize small tools such as shovels, rakes, chainsaws, and other applicable equipment.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn, grow, and improve skills.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned and as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities                                                                                                                                 

• Previous Experience with general labor.
• Ability to safely handle and operate power tools, hand tools, and other nursery equipment.
• Other duties assigned.

Education                                                                                                                                                                                       

   High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical requirements/Working Conditions                                                                                                                                    

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally exchange information with colleagues, managers, and vendors. The position is active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently reach for, pull, lift, and/or move items weighing up to and over 50 lbs.  The employee must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.  The position is expected to be full-time and may be scheduled on weekdays and weekends.

Salary : $16 - $25
