Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient advocacy and the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and infectious diseases. The Nurse Practitioner will play a critical role in primary care settings and addiction treatment.

This position is in Westernport, MD. Applicants need to have the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient evaluations.
  • Provide urgent care services, including diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
  • Manage infectious disease care, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. Base knowledge of Hepatitis C, HIV, and Prep work up, treatment, and management a plus.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on health management strategies and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.

Skills

  • Proficient in patient assessment techniques and clinical decision-making. MUST be able to work independently.
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices within healthcare settings.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, demonstrating empathy and patience.
  • Knowledge of urgent care protocols and best practices for acute medical conditions.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive infectious disease care, including prevention strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $122,184.00 per year

Expected hours: 15 – 36 per week
