Position Overview: The After-School Enrichment Instructor will be responsible for delivering educational and recreational programs designed to engage and inspire students across multiple school districts within Harris County. This role involves working directly with students in an after-school setting and providing enrichment activities that support both academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate a variety of enrichment activities such as culinary arts and academic workshops.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Communicate regularly with school staff and parents to monitor student progress and address any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and program participation.
• Assist with the planning and execution of special projects and workshops as required.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and lesson plans
• Work with children grades k-12th in after-school activities
• Attend Professional Development trainings.

Available Locations: We are currently seeking instructors for after-school enrichment programs in the following school districts within Harris County:

• Spring ISD
• Humble ISD
• Alief ISD

Please note that you must be willing to travel up to 30 miles to assigned school locations. There is no mileage reimbursement for travel between sites. The distance and travel time may vary depending on your assigned school district.

Skills:

• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation of meals
• Be fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills. Bilingual is a plus.
• Must be energetic, patient and have an interest with working with the youth and adults. Must be able to pass a background check.
• Fingerprinting clearance required before beginning work in school districts.
• This role requires uniforms.
• Must be dependable and have transportation to the assigned school. Must be able to work independently without supervision.

Scheduled Timings & Sessions:

• Training & Orientation:
• Summer 2024 Session II: July 14th – September 13th (includes select workshops and special projects)
• Fall 2024 Session:
• September – December | Hours: 3:15 PM - 6:45 PM (approximately 8 - 12 hours per week)
• Spring 2025 Session:
• January – May | Hours: 3:15 PM - 6:45 PM (approximately 8 - 12 hours per week)
• Summer 2025 Session I:
• June 2nd – July 11th | Hours: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (select timing during these hours)
• Summer 2025 Session II:
• July – September 13th (includes select workshops and special projects)

Compensation:

• Training & Workshops: $18 per hour
• Internship Position: $20 - $28 per hour (commensurate with experience)
