About Moonrise:
Moonrise (moonrise.com) is a new education system. With beautiful spaces, real-world experiences, expert guidance, and a built-in community, it's everything you need to raise incredible human beings.
Our Guides are like personal trainers for the mind. They get to know our Risers (kids 5 to 12 years old), guide their learning, and help them work through projects and challenges. The most important role of a Guide is to engage with our Risers and get to know them as unique individuals.
We're looking for a Minecraft Guide who:
- Gains energy working with kids.
- Is warm, positive, energetic, and friendly.
- Has deep experience playing and building complex structure in Minecraft.
- Strong preference for experience teaching children, especially how to build in Minecraft.
- Has or will develop a multi-week experience for kids to improve their Minecraft building skills.
- Prefers hands-on teaching and learning to tests and lectures.
- Is professional, responsible, and timely.
- Comfortable communicating with parents.
- Wants to contribute to a greater purpose and mission.
- Takes kids seriously.
About the job:
- You will lead and co-create our Minecraft experience for different age ranges (eg, 5-7, 8-10, 11-12 years olds).
- Location: Decatur, GA. Must be local to the area.
- Initially 1-2 days per week, 3 hours per day.
- Timing is flexible – let us know what works best for you.
- Pay is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
- Opportunity to increase time commitment and compensation with strong performance.
- Strong preference for applicants who have prior experience working with kids.
- Background check required.
