POSITION SUMMARY: The Material Control / Purchasing Agent will be responsible for managing branch inventories at multiple locations within the wholesale building materials and construction industry.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and assist in purchasing
- Oversee vendor pricing and sell price maintenance
- Perform Branch inventories
- Process daily cycle counts
- Set-up new products
- Investigate inventory concerns and issues
- Conduct month-end reporting
- Negotiate and oversee corporate and local buys.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Building Material experience (preferred)
- Purchasing experience
- Inventory Management experience
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities while handling routine interruptions
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
