What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Law Paralegal/Legal Assistant position at Moore Bradley Myers Law Firm, PA?
Our West Columbia office is adding positions to the support team for our Family Law team effective immediately.
Applicants must be team players, yet comfortable working independently, and able to accurately complete work within designated time periods.
Qualifications:
- Two to five to years’ experience in the legal field preferably in the practice and procedure (i.e. drafting pleadings, temporary hearing packages, discovery requests and/or responses, mediation/trial preparation, etc.,) of Family Law (Divorce, Child Custody & Support, etc.,) Paralegal Degree preferred, but not required.
- Must be personable, positive, and a professional representative of the firm.
- Is self-motivated, demonstrates initiative, and eagerness to grow with the firm.
- Takes pride in their strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Has the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments, and works well under pressure.
- Possess strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, as well as, a general understanding of software systems to access and utilize firm’s case management and client billing systems.
- Able to type 60 wpm.
- Strong and stable work history.
