As we expand our team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Operator to contribute to both our ongoing and future projects.
Position Overview: Join the Moore & Bruggink team as an Instrument Operator. You will utilize the latest Leica survey technology to assist with a diverse range of projects, including construction staking and boundary and topographic surveys. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who is able to thrive in various outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform a variety of surveying tasks, including construction staking and boundary, ALTA, right-of-way, municipal, and topographic surveys.
· Operate and maintain Leica survey equipment (Total Stations, Robotics, GPS, Digital Levels, and Data Collectors).
· Collect and process survey data accurately and efficiently.
· Assist in the preparation of survey plans and reports.
· Maintain and calibrate survey equipment as needed.
· Work effectively, both independently and as part of a survey team.
· Ensure adherence to safety protocols on all job sites.
Qualifications:
· Experience in operating survey equipment (preferred but not required).
· Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Detail-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Proficient in data collection and processing software.
· Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
· High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in surveying or related field preferred.

Availability: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday; normal hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility. At various times of the year, overtime may be required.
