The ideal candidate will have 0 - 2 years of well-rounded experience in taxation through previous internship experience or working experience within a public accounting firm. Successful candidates will be relationship oriented, upbeat, efficient, a strong communicator, and will have superior organizational skills, and high attention to detail.

Tax Associates will primarily focus on the preparation of tax returns of varying complexities, tax research, and preparing complex business income tax returns. Some of our industry niches include real estate, manufacturing, distribution, services, retail, construction, technology, healthcare, and transportation.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Preparing tax returns and work papers for corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and individuals on the local, state, and federal level;
- Assisting Sr. Associates with tax planning and consulting services;
- Researching tax issues;
- Managing the completion of deliverables and communicating accordingly to deliver excellent client service.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting;
- Current CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam;
- 0-2 years experience in the tax side of public accounting; Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments, and prioritize assignments as necessary;
- Strong Excel skills and well-rounded knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles;
- Proficiency with CCH Pro fx, CCH Engagement, and IDEA software is considered a plus;
- Consultative approach with a focus on providing superior client service;
- Self-directed, autonomous, motivated and ambitious;
- Exceptional and proactive communicator (verbal & written).
