Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support for an individual in their home setting part time. This role involves assisting individual with daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will need to be able to pass a background check and drug test. The schedule that we are looking to fill are the evenings of Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6pm till 8pm. Also Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9am till 12pm. Morning shift pay will be $16/hr. The evening shift pay will be $21/hr. This truly is a great family to work for.

Responsibilities

• Assist individual with personal hygiene tasks.
• Support individual in daily living activities, including meal preparation.
• Help lift and transfer individual safely using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Monitor vital signs as needed and report any significant changes to family.
• Provide companionship and engage individual in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Administer medication.
• Document care provided and any observations related to the individual's health or behavior.
• Colostomy and catheter bag care (will train ideal candidate)

Skills

• Experience in personal care home, group home, or senior care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and vital sign monitoring.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with individual and their family.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others lead fulfilling lives.
• Colostomy bag and catheter bag care experience a plus.
