What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Technician position at Moore Industries?
Primary Purpose :
Moore Industries is in search of HVAC Technicians with a proven track record who take pride in providing quality service to clients within the industrial and / or commercial sectors.
Principal Responsibilities :
Diagnose causes of problems and / or failures in HVAC / R systems for the purpose of identifying repair and / or replacement needs.
Inspect HVAC / R systems and their components (heating systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, ventilation systems, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating condition, and identifying necessary repairs.
Perform preventive maintenance for the purpose of enabling the ongoing function of HVAC / R systems.
Prepare written materials as required (repair status, activity tickets, etc.).
Knowledge and Skills :
Ideal candidate is encouraged to have 5 years Industrial and Commercial HVAC / R experience.
Ideal candidate is encouraged to possess knowledge and experience in the following areas :
Air Handler Unit Service, Maintenance, and Repair
Makeup Air Unit System Service, Maintenance, and Repair
Package Systems Service, Maintenance, and Repair
Air Cooled Chiller Service, Maintenance, Repair, and Diagnostics (not required but preferred)
Cooling Tower Service, Maintenance, and Repair (not required but preferred)
Chilled Water Pump Service, Maintenance, and Repair (not required but preferred)
Hot Water Pump Service, Maintenance, and Repair (not required but preferred)
VRF Systems Service, Maintenance, and Repair (not required but preferred)
Basic understanding of BAS control systems (not required but preferred)
Centrifugal Chiller Service, Maintenance, Repair, and Diagnostics (not required but preferred)
Gas Fired Hot Water Boiler Systems Service, Maintenance, Repair (not required but preferred)
Steam Boiler Systems Service, Maintenance, and Repair (not required but preferred)
ERV System Service, Maintenance, and Repair (not required but preferred)
Must be Trained in Industrial Safety Practices and OSHA Standards
Requirements
Valid TWIC Card
Must Be Able to Pass Drug Test and Physical Screening
Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record
Professional appearance
Communication skills
Basic computer skills
Willing to work as a member of a team and possess client first mentality.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to carry and / or climb ladders and work on rooftops.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
40-hour (4-10 hr. day) work week with potential overtime
Must maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability and safe operating condition.
Experience in industrial environments. (not required but preferred)
