Position Summary
Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for increasing and maintaining company profitability by maintaining accurate inventory levels; the candidate also ensures that optimal inventory is present and ready for use. Upholds Moore Lumber and Hardware Values Statement. Primary responsibility for all positions with Moore Lumber & Hardware is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- High School diploma, associate degree preferred.
- 1 year of experience in Inventory Control.
- Willing to learn ACE software, MANGO and implement in daily procedures.
- Analytical ability to investigate/audit the reasons inventory counts are inaccurate.
- Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
- Willing to learn all areas of the facilities and help cross train others.
- A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
- Availability must be flexible including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Aptitude for industry technology and software.
Physical Requirements
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
- Move and handle merchandise up to 97.5 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
- Ability to work on elevated platforms and ladders, and at heights near open spaces where the risk of falling may be present.
- Ability to repetitively climb on and off fork trucks, delivery trucks, and climb stairs at times while carrying awkward or heavy materials while using proper lifting techniques
