CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
- Develop and adapt recipes for adult cooking classes.
- Create lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Collaborate with the Training Coordinator to brainstorm new class ideas and themes.
- Professional development training will be offered, and some may be required.
- Teach cooking classes to adult students, providing clear and engaging instruction.
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and equipment usage.
- Guide students through the preparation of planned meals.
- Answer student questions and provide feedback.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations.
- Supervise students and address any concerns.
- Culinary training or experience in a professional kitchen.
- Strong teaching and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for cooking and a desire to share knowledge.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Food safety certification preferred.
- Work in a kitchen environment, which may involve standing for long periods, working with hot equipment, and exposure to allergens.
- Schedule may vary based on class offerings and student needs.
