GRADE/STEP: E12-3, Steps 1-3
WORK PERIOD: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm; Weekends as necessary

Job Objective: Primary purposes are to instruct classes/labs and supervise students. Prepares task analysis; advises students; grades reports, tests, and progress; and advises the supervisor concerning textbooks, special equipment, supplies, or other needs. Attends appropriate meetings and participates in overall quality of program and school. An incumbent in this position will utilize discretion, ingenuity, and independent judgment due to the complexity of the job. Responsible for coordinating guest/adjunct agency instructors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred: High school diploma or G.E.D. acceptable with requirement to achieve bachelor’s degree.
Credentials: Acceptable Oklahoma Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
CLEET Basic Instructor Development Certification and Law Enforcement Driver Training Instructor Required
One or more of the additional certifications preferred: CLEET Firearms Instructor or CLEET Defensive Tactics Instructor
Special Knowledge, Skill or Ability
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years full-time equivalent service as a CLEET Certified Basic Instructor and Law Enforcement Driver Training Instructor.
