Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) Technician to join our team. The TMS Technician will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing TMS therapy for mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and other neurological disorders. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in operating TMS equipment, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and assisting in the implementation of treatment protocols under the supervision of our licensed psychiatrist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation and Support:
- Prepare patients for TMS sessions, including explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and addressing concerns.
- Provide emotional support to patients before, during, and after treatment sessions.
- Operation of TMS Equipment:
- Set up and calibrate TMS machines and equipment for each session.
- Ensure that equipment is functioning properly, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Operate TMS machines to deliver prescribed treatments in accordance with doctor established protocols.
- Monitor and Record Treatment Progress:
- Monitor patients during treatment sessions to ensure proper positioning and comfort.
- Document patient responses and any adverse events or side effects during and after the procedure.
- Maintain detailed records of patient treatment sessions and follow-up care.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
- Assist in adjusting treatment parameters as directed by the medical team.
- Maintain Clean and Safe Environment:
- Ensure that the TMS treatment area is clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations.
- Maintain and sterilize equipment and tools to meet health and safety standards.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on TMS devices and troubleshoot any technical issues.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel and coordinate repairs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare, medical technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous experience working with TMS equipment or in a clinical healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Training in TMS therapy will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Skills:
- Strong technical aptitude and comfort with medical equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and team members.
- Certifications:
- Completion of TMS technician training or certification is required and will be provided
